I need some help with my laptop cooling pad

Thread Starter
So I have decided on buying the Cooler master SF-19, and I want to know what would be the best 140mm case fans to swap out, and put in the cooler, since they are switchable. I want the most powerful, 120mm/140mm case flans with the best airfow, on the market.
Would Some EVERCOOL FAN-AL12025B 120mm Case Fans be solid choices?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835119032

I would like some opinions on what would be the best case fans to put on the cooling pad, noise is not an issue, I perfer the best performing case cooling fans no bigger then 140mm for both fans, thanks.

Oh man, I started typing a reply and never finished yesterday. Basically, Yate Loon, Scythe Slipstream, or Delta is what I'd go with (all 120mm). From experience, Scythe fans are good ( I have an S-Flex, really nice noise/airflow ratio but it doesn't move a ton of air as it's definitely <20dB), but the sleeve bearing in the slipstream is a bit sketch (ok, sleeve bearings are standard, but I'd rather a FDB for longevity. no big deal). There's also a Silverstone 120mm that's rated pretty good on Newegg but I never heard of people using Silverstone fans.

As for links, I've seen some Yates for cheap on http://xoxide.com , Slipstream is on Newegg (think it's the 1900rpm one), Delta on Newegg (120mmx25mm, something like 2400rpm), and the Silverstone is on Newegg, has about 600 reviews, like 4 or 5 eggs.

The Evercool is probably fine, but for some reason I thought Evercool fans were just average; I may be wrong, and I've never used them so I can't say.

ahh thanks. Yea, I have just been researching more, and more. and it looks liek those delta fans are freaking monster, beasts of cooling. Truely the champion of air cooling. Moving 250 CFM @ over 5000rpm with a DB of 80, YIKES! Truely impressive.... Good thing my laptop fan controller only controls up to 2600rpm, so that's all those delta fans will ever run at haha.

and yea.. compared to the deltas, skythe, yates ect.. the evercool fans are ONLY average out putting only 60 - 80 CFM! Compared to these top coolers outputting over 100,200+

You gotta remember that the USB port only manages 5v for a fan. So unless this is plugged into the wall, you're going to be running those fans at around 30cfm tops.

True, but luckily, the laptop cooler itself comes with a 12v ac adapter that plugs into a wall socket for the fan power, and the cooler itself has fan controlling speeds, that will only allow any fan to run at a maximum of 2600RPm's, with power for the fans coming from a wall socket.

effectively, I can only utitlize the delta fans at 2600rpm's max on the laptop cooler. Which is fine. The usb hub port only powers the led light switchings, and extra usb devices I plug into the laptop cooler.

This fan would be more than enough to cool your laptop on a laptop cooling pad:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835999045

It's small i know, I've got one for my GPU. It's blowing down on the PCB of the GPU. Provides plenty of air even at 75%. You don't necessarily want a 120mm case fan because it doesn't have alot of air speed. For a cooling pad, you want a compact fan that'll really blow alot of air with speed into the laptop. I've got this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834997730 cooling pad that has 80mm 5v fans. I've overvolted the fans to 7V and added a wall AC adapter that's for a camera battery charger. Works perfect. I even installed a switch for them. Only problem is 1 fan is on the way out from the bearings. But they definitely provide enough thrust for the air to get into the laptop. Drops my laptop temp a good 5C+

I dunno man. Its your call. The Scythe Slipstreams are 100+CFM fans, crazy loud but provide an insane amount of air...

I wouldn't personally use a Delta in a laptop cooler. The highest I'd go for would be a Yate Loon. But that's up to you.
