Decided on loop components. Need you experts to check them

Decided on my intended loop tonight from my favourite uk retailer but before I go ahead and buy the parts I need them checking on ocn from people in the know. Thanks in advance.

Xspc rs 240 radiator
Xspc d5 vario pump
Xspc d5 dual bay res
Ek supremacy cpu block
Xspc 7/16" clear/uv tubing
Ocuk g1/4 1/2 barb fittings x 6

That's just to cool the cpu. Im currently using a h100. With the intended parts will I be able to add another 120mm rad and a gpu block at a later point from that single pump? Any criticism or advice on mentioned parts welcome. Intend also to put 4x 120 fans in push pull on a fan controller.

Thanks

The pump will be fine with that + a 120 rad and a whole lot more.

Seeing as you have two gpu's however, you will probably want more than a 240+120 for cpu, and two gpu's. That's kind of the bare minimum unless this is for quietness rather than intense OC/cooling.

I was only intending to cool the top gpu if that's ok or possible. The gigabyte windforce cooling is very good but in crossfire the top gpu is constantly 10c above the other so thought maybe would be ok to do one? im limited by roof space is why only going for a 240 rad up top and I really love my case so don't really want to swap as its not that old. Looked at gpu blocks but not sure which would fit my gpu as the retailer descriptions are a bit narrow or would probably order all at once.

Go to www.coolingconfigurator.com and put int he model of your GPU. From there it will tell you whether or not it is a reference card. If it is, any waterblock for that series of GPU will fit it.

That's brilliant help, thank you. They have the same model and style I have chosen for the cpu for my gpu

Glad to help. It's actually EKs website so they only show their blocks, but unless it says it's a block made specifically for that version (IE FTW edition) it means it's a reference design pcb and any block will fit it. Useful tool

Can you check the rest of my loop spec please. Im a complete noob with this. Only ever used a closed system. I have tried to pick good parts. Also another noob question but with the intended loop and dual bay res how much liquid will I need to buy? one or two litres?

Thanks

I personally wouldn't go with the RS kit because that slim radiator is not gonna provide much cooling, esp. not with a GPU as well in the loop. Go for the RX kit, or if they have it the EX as a compromise.

Like alcal said it wouldn't work for 2 gpus in the loop at all, but for one with an RX/EX kit it would be fine. Also I'm assuming the dual bay res is the one with the housing for the pump right? If so awesome, I have the same one and it's great. Otherwise change and get that one.

From a personal point of view I think it's silly to only cool one card but that's more an aesthetic purpose I guess it doesn't really matter, but should you decide to overclock those cards later remember that you'll be limited by how far you can push your second card before temps get too warm.

With so much of the setup being XSPC, I'm curious as to why you don't go with a Raystorm?

You could get a kit that would have you 95% of the way there (the barbs that come in their kits are actually pretty decent too).

Bloodquest has a really good point there. Go for somethign like this:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16893/ex-wat-221/XSPC_Raystorm_750_RX240_Extreme_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_w_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=g30c83s137

and get whatever else you're missing from there. I'd personally take the raystorm over the supremacy anyway based on looks, it's what I'm using and those LED mounts make it look sexy. Same thing for the GPU block, I'm using the 690 XSPC block and love it.
