Samsung Galaxy Note II

Anyone else besides me thinking of picking this up? I'm always talking via bluetooth. My phone screen is used for web, games would be video if the res was a little higher and the screen larger. Samsung has my money if they can get this device to fit into my pocket.

Sadly, once I cross the line to a 5.5 phone I doubt I will ever be able to use something smaller again.

I'll be sticking to my "Nexus" device only but Galaxy Note II does look like a nice phone. Here's a unboxing video released today of the International version,

After using AOSP for awhile I actually enjoy having launchers and find touchwiz to be one of the best along with Samsung's app killer that is now better than most other app killers. Unlike sense touchwiz is a very light as far as it's impact on the android experience as a whole.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is definitely much better than the original Note.

If I had the money, I would get one in a heartbeat. 5.5" screen, significantly less bezel and SGS3-like speeds.

Yes please.

"This is a pretty bad device" lol.

I like how quickly he was able to talk about the phone seemingly having used it for the first time, even if he knew the info on it. Good reviewer.

This post wasn't suppose to be here. Lucky for me it actually fits. The pen is only going to work well for touchwiz roms. That is unless the developers of CM managed to find a way to get it working on a AOSP rom. It would be amazing if they did.

He went to the convention where the phone was announced, so he had used it before. He's now doing a 30-day challenge (where he uses the phone for 30-days and gives his opinions on how his experience is with the phone during the 30 days; at the end he says whether he will keep using it as a primary device or go back to his other phone [which is the S3 which won the last 30 day challenge]

S Pen requires TouchWiz framework. So it is impossible to use a AOSP-based ROM and use the S Pen. You can flash a ROM that is based off TouchWiz framework and still has functionality of the pen. I personally wouldn't use the pen (in my opinion) but who knows, I can't judge unless I tried it.

So far the rumors speculate that this year will have more than one Nexus device.

HTC Nexus 5
Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2
LG Nexus (Based off Optimus G)
