The lg Optimus g Nexus would be based off lg Optimus g which is the specs I pasted.

So the specs would be roughly similar but yes it would be releasing with 4.2 but hardware should be the same (if not better)

The Note II will ONLY be available with a Samsung Exynos 4412 quadcore chip.

This just in, http://rootzwiki.com/news/_/articles/general/samsung-loses-some-developer-support-for-exynos-based-phones-r1151

Another reason why I only stick to Nexus devices smile.gif ... so if development is a important thing for you, that is something to keep in mind.

Wasn't planning on using AOSP with this but this news isn't good. Maybe if we get enough complaint samsung might offer us some help on this.

Possibly. The founder of CyanogenMod, Cyanogen is a employee of Samsung. Reading that article definitely surprises me because Samsung is usually pretty friendly when it comes to the community. They issued a free S3 to a CM developer to work on CM9/10 for their device. And they never ever lock their bootloaders (with the exception of the ones on VZW as of late, which I'm blaming VZW for and not Samsung as their other phones are untampered) although I do feel like, Samsung and other manufacturers should start boycotting VZW (or any other carrier) who wishes to lock their bootloaders or set their phone in a specific way. Especially with how popular the Galaxy S3 is, Samsung has a lot of influential power to tell what a carrier what THEY want rather than fulfilling the carrier's wishes.

Kinda like how Apple can make their phone the way they want without any carriers telling them to do this and that.

Like what? What has Apple decided to do despite opposition?

Unsure. I was just using it as an analogy as how much "weight" a company has. Because in my mind, I view it as that.
Manufacturers can do whatever they want as long as they have a strong title brand because the carrier will be losing out sales since they aren't selling a particular phone. I really liked how Samsung took the initiative and basically uniformed all of their Galaxy S3 phones to the same variant rather than having multiple variants
e.g. Galaxy S1 -- T-Mobile Vibrant, AT&T Captivate, etc etc etc

But I would imagine that in some way, carriers wanted to implement bloat with stock iOS on their devices. Kind of like how when you buy a phone from a specific carrier (particularly non-iOS devices) it includes with carrier bloated apps (mainly VZW and DROID devices). You never see iOS come with bloated apps on their phones (or tablets)

You must not have noticed VZW for the past decade.

They don't care about phone carriers. They figure it's SAMSUNGS loss if they don't want to make a proper phone for their network. VZW denies so many popular phones. They know a lot of their base is loyal for their network and will give them whatever they negotiate.

In a sense it IS Samsung's loss because now they're not selling phones to millions by not having a VZW phone.
