After living in the UK and seeing how they operate here, it is pure LOL. 40gbp a month (roughly $65 US) and I get 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts, 5,000 texts within my network, and true unlimited HSPA+ data and they gave me a Note 2 for free.
Verizon does have the widest coverage but they also have the most dropped calls for no reason. Same experience as Vodaphone here in the UK. Combine that with their absolutely appalling customer service and they have a large customer base that has zero loyalty to them. Trust me when their customers have issues they leave because it is so bad. I know personally 4 people who threatened Verizon with lawsuits over how they were treated and their criminal business practices. Verizon fixed the problems extremely fast when that happened and the customers still left for another carrier.
T-Mobile offers TRUE unlimited data. Please don't quote me without doing your research, they've offered it as of last month. As a result of "unlimited data" you lose your HotSpot functionality but there are ways to bypass it. And when I mention T-Mobile, I mean T-Mobile USA.

Regardless if you are on their "unlimited" or "tiered" plan. I still favor this method over their competitors (aside from Sprint since they offer unlimited as well). I rather have throttled speeds over paying overage fees.

I left T-Mobile USA in March of this year and was stating how they ran their plans under my experience. They also charged for HotSpot and Tethering. I even rooted my phone and used seperate apps and they sent me an email noting the usage as suspicious, so no there is not a fool proof way to get around it. I can guarentee if you experienced just how slow the speed is when throttled you would not want it. You are lucky if Google loads in under a minute. Do not mistake what I am saying as bashing them, they are far from a horible company and their service where I was at the time was great

I've tethered time to time to my tablet and laptop using stock tethering that came with native Android. I'm using a Galaxy Nexus and have not received any email saying suspicious activitity. I do normal web browsing while tethered, I don't download any thing that is big data.

Experience will vary, the speed is only throttled for the remainder of the month. Honestly, you would never really truly exceed the 2GB limit (and if you do, you can get higher or just go for Unlimited). Only way you would truly exceed it is if you stream music via cloud very often, stream movies off of YouTube / Netflix, or download large chunks of data on 3G/4G.

When it's throttled, you are just forced to use EDGE (2G) only. It's not a true throttle to the point that the internet isn't even worth using.

For me, the service been great in New York. Although at times, I feel that reception can vastly improve in certain areas indoors--but nevertheless, it is not a experience that is like "oh god.... 3G/4G never works here."

Hey guys been wondering what the difference between the note 2 and note 2 LTE is. I've been told its the 4G that made me more confused.

I exceeded their 10GB plan in two weeks with youtube/netflix/hulu and playing games. And yes when I surpassed the limit it was unusable for me. Facebook and email took over 5min to load and youtube wasn't playable at 240p.

Sounds like you need to use WiFi more often or stop using your 3G/4G mobile connection as your primary internet service provider.

Note II looks too big for me. I'll pass and look onto the One X+ or a newer phone.

Maybe you should try it out in a store before judging.

100% Agreed.

When I first held the original Note, I was quite pleased because it actually felt medium-sized for my hands.

Despite the Note 2 having a larger screen, it actually feels smaller because there is much less bezel and more screen.
