gtx 570 fps lag after awakening!

Hi,

I have had this problem almost since I bought my PC about a year ago, but lately I have noticed that it happens even more often. Basically when I put my computer to sleep for a little bit, it doesn't wake up the GPU properly when it awakes from sleep mode. I have noticed that in games I normally get 60fps at, will drop in FPS significantly (40's) after my computer awakes. I did a clean install of my NVIDIA drivers, I updated my BIOS to the latest version, this weekend I will open my case and check that everything is sitting well in place. Atm the only way for me to fix this problem is to restart the computer. angrysmiley.gif

Has anyone experienced this in the past?
Any kind of help is appreciated.

Thanks! thumb.gif

That hibernation/sleep mode will do funny things to different computers and your problem is one of them. For instance in my case, my psu will power off my computer completely and I need to shut off then turn on the power supply to start it up again. Just don't use "sleep mode", actually I disable it as one of the first things I do after I install Windows on a new build.

Hmm that, I had a similar problem happen to one of my laptops. I heard it was a problem that only happens in Windows 7. Still I have looked on Google and very limited info comes up, it's just funny that such a serious bug/glitch just "happens" out of no where.
