Best Ivy Bridge motherboard and cpu for overclocking

Thread Starter
I am looking to get new MB and cpu, I was thinking to go with Ivy Bridge, I play games and do Photoshop projects. My system is water cooled. I am thinking about followings:
ASUS P8Z77-V LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard for $134.00 and Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz LGA 1155 Processor for 189.99
or
i5 3570k +Gigabyte Z77-DS3H for $275. both new
Currently I have Asus Rampage 3 extreme and i7920, do you think it worth to change to z77?
Please feel free and recommend anything you feel is better and cheaper.
thank you

i would not want to OC on that Gigabyte Z77-DS3H, lack of VRM's and cooling. you could also look at the Asrock z77 extreme4 which is at a nice price or if you can spend more the Gigabyte z77x-ud5h if you want GB

im goin to recommend core i5 3570k for your CPU........for mobo i have 2 mobo for good price but very good in overclocking performance...

first is the Z77X-UD3H........good price and have also good reviews about this mobo(exactly i have both this mobo and CPU)....

this can be easily to be overclock and you can take an idea from this video for exact OC'sing for this...

http://youtu.be/NxCPyF-1tTc ....i hope this would help....

and second of my choice for the mobo(same CPU) is the asrock Z77 Extreme 4.........this two mobos are both very good in performance and also very easy to overclock.....

Yes, extreme 6 has more vrm's but more importantly they are better quality vrm's, This is important for overclocking. If you can stretch to a Z77 fatal1ty pro i would highly recommend this with its 24 phase cpu power supply. I am currently using one and it gets my 2500K over 5.5ghz where my older asus board couldnt go above 4.8ghz
