If anyone who has the same MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 board is able to push the GPU multiplier from the bios successfully, please post your method...I cannot get past the power saving feature that automatically lowers the voltage. (I really dont like using AMD Overdrive)

I stumbled apon this post and just wanted to share what I have done with my rig.

I do not have my 1866 RAM OC, but I did OV it to lower CAS.

I have some DDR3-2400 that will be here in the mail tomorrow, so if you are interested I can upload a picture to compare. I am still attempting to push the system further!

I do have to say that the only thing really holding the A10 back is it's memory bus. If they would have made the new architecture and chipset Quad-Channel this APU would have STOMPED, gang rape style I tell ya!!!

Does anyone know why when I enable dual graphics and run MSI Kombuster, this happens?

well my FM2A75m-itx does so id be surprised if that one doesnt. Mine needed a bios upgrade before it would actually do it without getting a blue screen.

I'm building this rig tomorrow... http://pcpartpicker.com/p/G5Yx as a practice OC/folding/light gaming/mess around rig to keep at the GF's place and am really looking forward to OCing the crap out of it, although I am an OC n00b still so I don't know what I am doing lol. redface.gif

I will be sure to post my results here! The card I got is only the DDR3 version though.

something is wrong with that build,... ram @ 667Mhz? too low to run a decent test in my opinion. and the core APU graphics speed in the 300mhz range? my A10-5800k has a GPUcore speed around 1000Mhz....

@ Castaa.... something seems wrong with that build,... ram @ 667Mhz? too low to run a decent test in my opinion. and the core APU graphics speed in the 300mhz range? my A10-5800k has a GPUcore speed around 1000Mhz.... When I do my next fresh reinstall I plan on running 3DMark11 with APU, OC'd APU, APU+6670, then re OC both and do a final test.... that should give a decent comparison of the capabilities of the set up, and allow more of us to see actual results with a system using A10+6670's,....

This is the current clocks that I am working with on my iGPU. It takes a lot of voltage and extra cooling of your VRMs to get stable high frequencies with these APUs. I suspect a lot of the problems with OCing these bad boys falls to an inherit integration problem...? APUs are a different breed and seem to OC very differently then the traditional setup.

I am looking at a custom water cooling with my VRMs to push higher!

P.S. I leave my CPU at 4.0GHz at 1.325v so I do not have to worry about excessive heat from that side of the chip. We all know how hot GPUs get and it needs all the headroom it can get!!!
