hey was on hackaday few days ago and found this thumb.gif
http://hackaday.com/2012/09/09/building-a-very-low-power-full-featured-desktop/

this would be something i want to try haha seams like a really good idea if i could get my head around.
his pretty much cleaning up the power, meaning less power lost.. less power used
by replacing IC's? and cutting out things that dont need to be used ?

would love to try this on a older board.. mainly to learn but always good learning and playing at same time haha
on a older board so dont loose a heap of money ( though rather not kill things ) if it dies smile.gif

whats your thoughts on this?

his even building his own pico psu! haha more efficient psu
prototype stage in this post not sure of its progress atm smile.gif
