Of course I tend to look at all extreme cooling OC's as pointless and cheating anyway, just like nitrous in racing. Anytime you have to rely on a finite supply of something to make your car/computer faster than it really is for an extremely limited amount of time seems like cheating to me....
It's like drag racing. People do it because it's a nice hobby and it's competitive if you want. Pushing hardware also helps bring out better hardware for enthusiasts. For example you wouldn't be running that RIVE without shamino who was with these guys.
Besides, where do you draw the line? Is my Phase change setup at -45C cheating? Would a cascade system that sounds like a jet engine at -115C be cheating? Is watercooling cheating because it also needs new water every now and then? Is a 1000L tank of LN2 with a hose to apply the LN2 to a pot for a week cheating? Is putting your rad outside of the window during winter cheating?
