HELLO all

i just purchased a new 7950 gx2. upon plugging it into my EVGA 680I motherboard, the link boost option did not appear in my bios. for some reason this video card doesnt recognise link boost when the tech review says it is specifically meant for 7900 video cards to help boost single card performance.

does this card support link boost?

thanks for the help

I think link boost is only for GTX series cards. Yours is really two gs series cards sandwiched together.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Close enough, the 7950 GX2 is basically TWO 7950 GT's (7900 with 512 Ram).

correct, the sli linkage is internal and will work even on boards that don't support sli but its likely that the evga detects both cards at a video bios level and disables link support.

tubnotub, when are you going to post some pics of your rig? you have armor and laptop pics that i don't think represent that spiffy build you have
