So I ended up going with the Akasa Viper since it's the same fan with a little more power. According to specs, at idle the loudness is the same as the Apache, but the Viper will have the potential to hit 1900 rpm, and yet still remain ~10+ db quieter than the fan I currently have on my heatsink (28.9 db vs 41.5).

It should arrive today or tomorrow, I will report back my results. Thank you again for your help thumb.gif
