Hard choice.

Hello. I'm not good in english, so be patient, please.

I want to buy a videocard for years, so I shall choice it wisely.

I've read a lot of reviews and tests on russian and english, and I see, that there's no a leader in hi-top class, as it is in hi-mid (for me it's 7870).

So, help me please, which one shall i choose for now and for future 5-10 years?

My comp consists of:

ASRock 890FX Deluxe5
AMD Phenom II X4 BD 980
Power supply will be bought depending on the videocard.

90% of time when I'm sitting behind the computer I'm playing at video games at resolution 1980x1020, but in a year I will buy 27" or 30" monitor.

So which one will be a better choice?

HD 7970 GE or GTX 680?

As far as I can judge HD 7970 and GTX 670 also good and cheaper - but max. performance produced just buy the top ones?

You're going to get different opinions because there are fanboys for both.

I personally had had an easier time with nvidia because I've had no problems with driver support in my games. The one ATI card I did have a while back sent me searching for compatible drivers a few times.

In my opinion, Go 680.

I recently switched from nVidia card to an AMD card (7950) and yes, drivers still cause a headache, although recent update fixed most of my issues. That said, prices for R79xx cards are so low, thats what I'd go for again. It all really depends on what games youll be playing. BF3 favors nVidia cards for example.

Now if you overclock you could go for a 670/7950 since they will reach stock 680/7970 performance easily.

I thought the situation over, my motherboard allows to run crossfire, no SLI.
So I think may be 7870 in CF would be better choice?

So which one would you choose:
1) GTX680;
2) HD7970 GE;
3) HD7870 x2.

I couldn't find some tests or reviews which compare this three variants.

P.S. On a russian markets 2x 7870 cost same as one 680 or 7870 GE.
