CORSAIR, G SKILL, or Samsung.
I'd say 8GB is sufficient enough but hey 16GB wouldn't hurt! RAM prices are going down.

16 gigs might be overkill. Im stuck with 9 gigs (stupid triple channel) and I never, EVER go over 6gb used even if I got my browser w/ a few tabs open along with media players and other software running. Id use the money saved to get a SSD, that will make a bigger impact.
