Yes, the fitting is for the return from the motherboard block. (inlet)

Pics:

If you have a look at the installation diagram here . The reservoir is in the recommended position.

That being said you can move it to the other side, but from what I've read this can have a negative effect and cause a pressure drop.

oh I see, so the inlet goes into the block then it splits between the reservoir and the pump? That's kinda odd, I'm interested in seeing how that works out, I didn't use the reservoir top, just the base.

Also, did your vertical stand come with the top or it was a added accessory? I think BP left that one out when I bought me..

Thanks, and sweet build. thumb.gif

You can only buy the vertical stand in kit form as far as I'm aware. The kit includes the reservoir, stands and reservoir adapter (to mount it to the pump top) and is about $40.

Sorry if i was unclear earlier, the inlet port is the return (flow coming in) and is the final stop on the loop. The outlet port is where the water flows from and enters the loop.

The fitting you can see is in the inlet port (flow coming in)

To put it in context of the loop:

outlet port > radiator 1 > cpu block > radiator 2 > mosfet block > south bridge block > inlet > reservoir / pump 1 > pump 2 (series) > repeat

Holy crap... Amazing amount of work you have going on. Can't wait to see what the finished product looks like.

Running behind as usual...

Finally finished the cabling:

I had to change things around a bit for the lighting which is what has caused the delay.

I wasn't aware of this but it seems the further the cathode is (wiring length) from the inverter the weaker the light becomes. I thought this might be a problem with the inverter itself or my choice of cold cathodes. However after testing on another smaller cathode fed by a single port inverter the problem was the same. Testing using a different PSU with stock cables produced the same result, so is not related to the custom cables.

So instead of having a single central 4 port inverter, I've ordered two dual inverters. The wiring from the switch now runs over 18awg cabling to the back corner (above the psu) and the front corner. This wiring will then plug in directly to a dual inverter at each location. Once the inverters arrive in the next day or so I'll take pictures of this.

You and me both smile.gif, I really want to be at the filling stage by this coming weekend, if the top panel doesn't take too long I should be on to tubing by Wednesday or Thursday.

Thanks guys,

Started on the top panel,

Pic's of the shroud :

''

The center part of the shroud is aluminum, the slanted part is plastic.

This is a test fit, trying to get an idea how it will all work, I've taped up the shroud to ensure it doesn't scratch anything.

Based on this it looks like I'll need to drill a hole to run the cable. Will keep working on it, more pics when I'm closer to finishing it.
