@itznfb, the cougar doesnt give much static pressure and the sp120's are to loud.
So, its down to either the NF-f12 or the GT 1850
EDIT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qAvH3yJ_A8
Think im pretty much sold just from whatching that video.

Model CF-V12HPB
Marketing name VORTEX PWM 120
Dimensions 120 x 120 x 25
Speed 800-1500
Air flow @ 12V (CFM, m3/h) 70.5 / 119.8(max.)
Air pressure @ 12V (mm H2O) 2.2
Noise 17.9dB
Bearing type HDB (Hydro-Dynamic Bearing)
Connector PWM 4 pin
Cable length 450mm
Cable sleeve Yes
Accessories Small 4 to big 4pin adapter
Tool-less fixed pins
Screws
Carton Color box with PVC window
Lifetime L10 (hours / 25°C) 300000

2.2 is pretty awesome for a virtually silent fan. They perform great on my H100. I use the SP120's though because I like the color ring... and I have tons of Cougar Vortex fans so I use them as case fans.

Thats better than i thought but the f12 is still better despite being slightly noisier. Cant even find any in the uk anyway. I thought about the sp120's originally and that the ring will look good but as they will be pulling in the top of my case, you wouldnt see it anyhow.

Yeah the SP120 are fairly audible but they aren't annoying like some fans. If the Cougar fans aren't available in your region the F12 would probably be a no brainer at that point. Pull the trigger.

into the controller usually will not run or the fan runs 100%, with no selectable mode.

at corsair forum, they are looking into making it universal, but i wouldn't count on it.

using the noctua NF-F12P120 is quieter than the SP120 perf, but not the SP120 quiet.
the f12's @ 12v in dual fan set was 4° warmer than just the two OE fans.
on 7volt 8° warmer.
NF-F12 in a push/pull was slightly cooler than H100 dual OE fan, but against a
dual H100 fan set and P/P the noctua NF-F12 3° warmer @ 12volt, 7° @7volt.
they are quiet lil monsters... and a viable contender, but just too expensive.
the SP120 quiet edition push/pull would be your best solution for cost and performance
on the corsair H100..

I see thanks for the explanation and now of course makes sense.

I dont see how the 120's quiet edition are even in the same league as the f12? Since they're specs are a lot lower and on that video i posted with TTL, he said his f12's were only like 2-3c warmer than the stock corsair fans.

So atm im still going with the f12's.

well they do very well.. even in my rig, so the stats could be wrong or what-not.
im a big noctua fan and when something else is similar or better, i will always
test with the noctua and if they are not the better fan, so be it. and when you
paying for it, it has more bearing on the solution..
like TTL said, he was very against the SP and from using them alot, he made
a conclusion.. SP120 quiets.

unless i can find the noctuas (f12/p12 pwm) on sale.. it'll be SP. for the $$$
NCIX used to have the F12 for 16.00 until recently and now @ 43.00?!?!?
ive scored from fleebay 4NF-F12 NIB for 12.00 each shipped... so there are
deals, ya just gotta hunt them down..

NE has run 20% discounts, but just not competitive with other fans. i already have 8 F12
and buy when the price is $10-14 each. the P12 (have 6) is a great case fan, not really
a great radiator fan.
still using the SP120, for price, availability and performance
