TX850w won't fully turn-on?

Thread Starter
So I upgraded the PC to go SLI with two 560 ti 2GB cards and with that came with a 850w PSU to handle the load.

I've tried the older power supply and my pc boots up perfectly. I've tried it with the TX-850w and it'll come on, light up the entire motherboard then turn off. So it's definitely a PSU issue but is there anything I could possibly DO outside of RMA to fix the problem?

Why bother, return it and ask for a refund, you TX 650 is already plenty.

Not for 2 560ti's that are already factory overclocked with a CPU at 4.4ghz it isn't.

Got any proof of that? Everything tells me otherwise. If it was 750,yeah but definitely not 650.

I had build a computer last year for one of my bud with two 560Ti and the i5-2500k OCed to 4.7GHz using his spare TX650v2 without any trouble other than the fact I had to use molex connectors. Btw, there was a youtube video of a 550w PSU powering a 480 in SLI with a first gen i7.

Since you already sold your 650w unit however, I would also recommend returning the TX850w, get your money back, and buy the Rosewill Capstone 750w Modular that is priced at $99 which cost less than even the non-modular 650w unit and is superior than both of the unit you have now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182264

That's a great powersupply other than the fact that it is not 80+ certified, and isn't modular. I also agree it is a bit overkill for your system, but does give you plenty of room to grow. I would just RMA it and keep it. I had one for about a year before I sprung a leak and blew it up. Damn thing sounded like a shotgun went off indoors lol.
