The question got kind of lost through the post replays.
My original concern was that not all HDMI receivers (at the monitor end) are 1.4 and can therefore deal with resolutions higher than 1920 x 1080.
Only version 1.4 can apparently receive 2K and 4K.
All I wanted to know was if the Korean IPS line such as the ACHIEVA SHIMIAN QH270-IPS-TDP are capable of 2560 throug either HDMI or Display Port.
That was all.
