I am getting the itch to sell my -UD5H and pick up this monster of a motherboard and pair it with this cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835709003. $400? So be it biggrin.gif

3. Using add in cards in the PCI-E1X slots won't effect graphics performance. The only thing they will change graphics performance is using black slots vs orange slots. Im gonna run a quick Benchmark and tell you the difference.
4. Lets seee im gonna run 3dmark11 quick.
here we go:
Using the Bypass black slot. NON-PLX
eRLbc.png
Using the Orange PLX slot.

very interesting result.. only a 100 point difference in a very GPU intense benchmark. It will be interesting to see what it does in 3dmark 06 or something, because look at the Physix score, it's alot higher in the PLX slot :O. Very interesting. Im gonna investigate this further

Dear Viva_Za,

Hey thanks man for the explanation!! Mannn you helped me alot! smile.gif I am also VERY interested in what you will get from your other benches!
I do want to use 2 PCIE1 cards, one is a Creative audio card and the other is the BLuetooth wifi card which is included with the mobo.

Soooo really the only big difference for me then will be the sound coming of the vidcards and then choosing the right one. Either orange slot
or black one will do, but ofcours I would like to use the black one.
Well il await your other results! Soon il have both a MSI 680GTX Lightning and an asus 680GTX and then I can start building the rig.

Yea it is a bit pricey, its that VRM that drives costs high, but then again it does cost a lot to build those board compared to others gigabyte and others make.

I put my cards in and startex.it up. setup the bios real quick and.noticex one card was.flashing. so i go ***. checked and the board wasnt seeing.the card.but it was seated. i could.visibally see it. so i pull the carxs back out and the slot was broken in half.

those cards went into place perfectly. i was super pissed. but i am going to replace it and try again. it is a very well built board thats for sure.

Dear Sin0822,

Just a quick other question.

I want to use a Noctua D14 for my CPU cooling, but I also want to use the new Dominator Platinum memory.
Do you have any idea if this combination wil work on the Z77x-UP7 mobo ??? Memory hight size wise and stuff?
so how can we get this in India? they sure dont give out review samples there tongue.gif

I have that memory, but not that cooler, i would say the memory is kind of tall, but it is okay for the most part. It would be hard to say without the cooler.

They should be in stock very soon. I know in AU they are in stock, if not, ask your local vendors.

I was talking to a bunch of the ocn bench team and we all were saying when It comes out It will be 400 dollars plus,
There are motherboards that are not as good for the same price.

I just won one at the Mi LN2 event. http://www.overclock.net/t/1295114/ocn-n2oc-october-13th
Hobiecat and Noguru both benched one there and loved them. Noguru went to the atm and bought the board off the other winner.
We were all impressed with it and the UD7.
