As long as they work well, but it's hard to determine if they have been opened or not. If you're serious about getting them, ask to check the cards out and see if there is any dust build-up on the fans, from there you can determine their condition.

I'd go for it with an understanding that they should work to your satisfaction when you get them or else he'd be willing to take them back.

Craigslist there is always a risk of you never seeing the guy again. I would try to find a way to test the cards before payment, but that is difficult cause I dont want a stranger in my house and thats the same thinking as the seller. How much is he selling the cards for?

Edit:
I do see that MSI warranty does transfer so at least you will be covered. I would say go for it, but be careful and look for any physical damages or burn smell or marks. Dont forget to try and talk him down some more.

MSI is serial based warranty, but if it's not the first time he's RMA'ed it, you will need the serial numbers from his previous cards.

I figured 950 is way more then fair for 2 brand new cards..I don't mind cause my 670s il have 950 when I return them..so pretty nice upgrade. Plus the lightnings are all tested before they are shipped from MSI as they say on the website..if they look used in any way I will check the serial numbers with msi first..and offer him 800 instead of 950..what you think?
