[PC Gamer] DICE threatens permanent bans for users of color-editing Battlefield 3 mod - Page 29

I just read the last few pages of this thread to catch up....surprised to see that very few of the posts are even about the bans.... or even the editing tools.
Let me sum up the thread for anyone that just jumped in. There are three commonly used posts in this thread.

Post A "Why would DICE ban me for adjusting the color of the game I paid for! GRRRR!!!!!!"

Post B "The blue tint/darker color scheme is lame, and I like colors!"

Post C "My monitor is awesome, and you are all dumb."

Let me analyze why they are all silly:

#1. DICE isn't banning for tweaking color, but rather because the mod tools can adjust many other aspects of the game, and will upset the balance greatly.

#2. Color is a matter of preference. You hate it one way, others like it their way. It's a preference. They went with a theme with the colors. Don't like it? Don't play.

#3. Nobody cares bout yo screen brah.

I personally agree with one person on this thread, who claimed that he liked neither the vanilla setup, or any of the tweaked settings. I think the game could use just a smidge more color, but all of the setups I have seen look a bit cartoonish to me. I appreciate the vanilla game though. I think it looks great and sets the mood. I don't have time for looking at things too in depth, I am busy trying to bury knives in people. tongue.gif

the correct saying is " just deserts" not "desserts", if you trying to point that out to me.

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-does-just-deserts-mean.htm

"The expression just desserts is a common misspelling of the actual idiom just deserts, which simply means to receive what one deserves."
