Same here. I just deleted it this evening after reading that on PC Gamer though. If they do start banning for it, I'd say they will make no distinction between those of us that used this innocently and those that use the mod tools to gain an advantage.

This i mean look at this. That can easily be done with the mod. Before you even can use the mod you read a text that says you can mod the game to do anything like bullet spread...someone will get the idea and do it so that's why DICE put the foot down before it happens. The game looks fine to be anyways. Use nvidia's built in feature and raise the saturation if its soooooo bad.

So is this mod/tool different from the FXAA injector tool? Also, If I continue to use the FXAA injector will I be banned?

Glad I stopped playing this game 6 months ago. TBH it got boring very fast (ON PS3) not PC, so I can't speak to that. In regard to the mod tools ban, that is not the right thing to do. Considering what DayZ has done for ArmA II, you'd think DICE/EA would get the message.

Even though ArmA was a rather second rate title, until DayZ came out as a mod as a first party release by an internal developer, there were plenty of mods for that game that were made by third parties.

I would call it "an actual good game" mod.

This is completely different thing. FXAA Injector is safe, I don't think anyone has ever been banned for using it.

I think DICE should just release a patch that makes that an option and track how many people actually choose it over the standard look. I like how it looks with the mod. It really does look washed out, drab and boring without it. I'm also kind of annoyed at the sun glare. STOP THE SUN GLARE.

There are several problems with "just using the FXAA injector"

1) It's a post-process filter.

2) It adds overhead to an already taxing game

3) It makes everything blurry fuzzy and sparkly

4) It can't remove the blue-grey filter. It can increase the saturation of everything but that includes the blue filter. You can attempt to counter that by boosting the blue channel less than the red and green, but then anything blue gets incredibly washed out (black/grey oceans...). No matter what you do, the grey will sill be there to muddy things up for no good reason.

#4 applies to screen calibration and gpu-driver based digital vibrancy as well.
