People are surprised? EA Dice has said months before the game was released, they were going to ban anyone who uses mods or joins modded servers.

Instead of banning they should try fix the game...

It's an attempt to give their games a distinctive look. When you see BF3 you instantly recognize it. It's a marketing thing more than an art-style.
I personally hate it as well but I don't play BF3 anymore so couldn't care less what EA/Dice does.

EA should ban cheaters, not critics.

I personally like the default colors much more. Neither looks completely realistic, but the "fixed" version is overdone. Regardless, it's a silly thing to ban for.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............

I wonder if my FXAA injector is ok or not....How exactly is dice/PBuster banning because they know you have added/modified files in the BF3 folder? How is that different than having .txt documents in bf3 folder or screenshots in that folder....how would they know? IS this BF3 mod program have specific file names and types that PBuster scans and looks for in the bf3 folder? I'm just trying to figure out how they might "ban" me for using the FXAA injector...

I noticed battlelog was updating this morning so I was unable to play. What "fix" is going to scan for mod tools? Is this a bf3 update? PBuster update? or battlelog update? I'd imagine its going to be a PBuster update. I've never had 1 issue with FXAA injector...But this concerns me

Standard FXAA injectors should be fine. Its the modification of particular files (cat.cas files I believe) that are altered by the mod tool that was recently released in the last week that will get you in trouble.

I think Halling was thinking of the other "color correction mod" when someone sent him the video on twitter.

Later on he goes to say "Its a surprise for the cheaters modifying game files =) The hack is not only a "brightness modifier", its a proper cheat."

You da man! Rep... I wish EA/Dice would officially release their own color corrector, then that way they could somewhat monitor and regulate their own game and mods and how people want more color in the game. I seriously can't play the game without the fxaa color corrector...its that bad without it.
