MSI GTX680 TWIN FROZR 3 - Page 2

Thats why I asked in case you posted benchmarks so I could compare. I have not answered because I have been too busy to get back here. I ware a headset so I don't here the fan running, but ran 3DMARK11 a few times last night and the fan does get fairly loud but not too annoying. I am curious on the effects of 4Gig vs 2Gig though. Or even in 3dMark11.

You'll only notice the difference at higher resolutions, and even then you might only ever notice it with triple screen.

Heres on for ya. I installed a 470 for Physx and it actually lowered my 3dmark11 scores.

I think I figured this out. Even though the cards are not in SLI this still makes both PCI-e slots drop to 8x. Which really blows.

Loving the card up to yet it's whisper quiet compared to my old HD4870, been playing Max Payne 3, everything maxed out (no pun intended) this just eats it up.
I've overclocked the core clock by 100MHz so boosting to around 1250MHz & OC'd the Memory by 400MHz, but I think there's a bit more in this card, hoping to hit a 1300MHz boost clock.
The only benchmarking I've done is Heaven, with everything maxed out at 1080p I get a score of 1337.

You need to update your rig Captin. Hey if you get a chance run 3DMARK11.

Just got one a month ago myself. As for noise, you won't hear much of anything until around the 60% fan speed mark.

As for temps, they are stellar. OCing-wise, mine doesn't do spectacularly, which may be the card, may be drivers (especially since I'm on Windows 8) BUT, all cards are different in that respect.

Here is a solid benchmark for you

Also the twin frozr is a nice heatsink, you should be able to overclock it quite well.

What applications are is everyone using to overclock? I use MSI after burner. I've get my core clock to 1122mhz and the boost to 1187mhz however according to GPUZ when im running Battlefield 3 it will read that it is boosting to 1188.9. If I oc the card a slightly more my core will boost to 1209.1mhz. But it always crashes then. Anybody else seem to get about these results? ill post pics soon.
