Help/Advice on Samsung Memory Overclocking

Thread Starter
I know this has probably been discussed quite a fair bit, but I'd just like some advice for my rig,
That and I heard that the tertiary timings can effect stability of the RAM at higher clocks/tighter timings, is this true?
And if it is could someone explain to me what ones should be changed and what sort of range I should be going for.

Anyway so far this is the best I've gotten stable with IBT on "High" RAM usage. This is to only test quickly between changing settings though I know I'll have to run quite a few hours of Prime95/IBT to be certain for 100% stability.

So far I'm trying to get to 2133+ and possibly 1T as opposed to 2T. 2133 is my main goal and I'm hoping for 10-10-10-28 or so at under 1.55v

VTT is at 1.25v
IMC is at 0.975v
RAM is at 1.45v

CPU is overclocked to 4.4GHz @ 1.31v

Where should I go from here to at least try to achieve stability at 2133+?

Any help is appreciated and I will +rep thumb.gif

EDIT: 2000 10-9-9-9 1T @ 1.45v is stable

Samsung based kits often run higher memory speeds with TRCD and TRP set higher than CAS. For example 9-11-11-31 (2133) or 10-12-12-31 (2400). I would try testing 9-11-11-28-1T or 10-11-11-28-1T @ 2133 and leave secondary/tertiary settings on auto.

DDR voltage was set to 1.575v while VCCIO/VTT and VCCSA/IMC were on auto:

you will have to change most of the mem timings in bios manually (no XMP )
this should help (work your way down from here )

My ram i hit 2000mhz @ 1.35 volts but my qpi (x58) was way to high. that was @ 9-9-9-24 t1. Need new sandy or ivy for thos speeds also ram speed on x58 dose not really matter. hiting higher volts on thos chips mite want to put a heat spreader on it.

Awesome, what do you mean with the red/yellow numbers? Should I be trying to get closer to those to acheive stability?

I see what you mean, I was trying to keep it the same but that doesn't matter. I'll have a play around tomorrow because I'm about to go out to a mates for a few drinks smile.gif

Yeah, X58 wasn't too good for it's IMC's.

I'll +rep you all later, simply because I'm currently on a Mac and everything is weird and it takes a lot longer to use. I'm actually about to write up a mini review about it.
It's not mine btw, it's a friends new Retina Macbook pro.

Thanks for all the help guys, I'm sure you've helped out many other people apart from me! smile.gif

Bump

Also my Thermaltake SB-E's fans are in line with the memory so therefore the cooler pulls cool air towards them I believe, there's one stick that this doesn't apply to.
