Looking for a backlit KB, suggestions? - Page 2

I had the Rosewill RK-9000 and the usb connection went inside the keyboard. I talked to Rosewill and they said they couldn't ship the keyboard to Illinois but they contacted Newegg and the egg gave me a full refund (bought the keyboard about 7 months ago). I bought the new RK-9100 and the backlight of the 'N' key did not work. Talked to the egg and got a full refund and then finally spent $140 on the Gigabyte Aivia Osmium and couldn't be happier. Best keyboard I have ever touched.... I highly recommend it if you can spend the extra cash.

If you're into backlighting, I have to strongly encourage you to not consider the Mionix Zibal 60. The backlighting is horrible. It's pathetically dim, appears more yellow than it does green, is highly uneven, and you'll have to reset your backlight settings every time you reboot the computer. If you like black switches, I suppose you probably wouldn't mind the feel of the keyboard, but the keycaps are notorious for their short life span due to the paint wearing off and resulting in a lot of backlight bleeding through where it shouldn't. Not that it doesn't have any pros, but I decided to return mine less than twenty-four hours after receiving it.

Hiya mate!

I've been using a Logitech K800 heavily for the past two years or just a little less. It's still a blast to use and the keys haven't gone mushy. The backlighting is still excellent and the batteries only need to be charged every third week. It's a fun keyboard and I really recommend it to anyone not wanting to spend a gross amount of money on a backlit mechanical. I originally considered a high end Logitech gaming keyboard when I was looking for a new keyboard then, just so that I could use the macros in editing software, but realized that was a silly benefit to go after. I can't recommend the K800 enough.

Ducky Shine 2 or Deck on a high budget, otherwise Keycool or wait for the upcoming CM Storm QuickFire TK. I don't think any rubber dome keyboards have bright backlighting, since they're so cheaply made in every way imaginable. Backlit mechanical keyboards have an LED under each key.
