Mainboard won't lay flat, any idea?

Thread Starter
Worst thing ever when i checked the mobo isn't blended in anyway, the standoffs are secured properly and next to find out when try to secure the mobo with screws the half bottom of the mobo won't lay flat on standoffs. If i try to force secure the mobo will blend in, I don't want any blending.

At this point what should i do?

Is new but i've done some custom fixes to the front panel and i've installed everything on. So far i've secured the ATX mobo top and middle and left the bottom with nothing. Since i'll be only using one graphic card do you think is good idea to.. ignore the matter? Or there's a fix to this?

RMA is the fix that or deal with it. Personally if it is not flat I would also wonder what else is wrong with it.

Could try heating the board with a hair dryer. Most of the time when you get a rma board back from the coast it will be slightly warped/bowed because of the weather and humidity. I would try heating it up and see if it will go back to shape.

Could you post a picture of the issue? Thanks

Is it the mobo that's bent or do the standoffs not line up (case panel bent)? I've had to RMA cases because the back panel was bent, I'd return it rather than bend a mobo.

Is certainly not the mobo. The issue is the headroom between the Mb and the standoffs, actually 4 standoffs that has issue with.

EDIT: Do you think adding several washers and use a longer screw can fix this?

You can add washers and line it up if you have no other option, you'll need to be careful though to keep the board aligned to the case PCI slots and rear panel out slot.

And the mobo line up on the casing nicely with the rear panel and the graphic card fit in good. I guess i'll be adding washers. You guys might think why not RMA it because i figured the new case will have issue too, why not deal with this one to end of it.
