This is the basis of my build. Any advice will be much appreciated. I'm hesitant on doing liquid cooling. Any tips or concerns about the compatability between these components would also be very appreciated.
I was on the fence about my RAM. I went with G.SKILL 64GB 2400 over Corsair 64GB 2133. Chose the RV02E over the RV03.
Any advice on monitors would be awesome as well. I have a dual ASUS 24" setup picked out (TN 2ms, not IPS due to IPS having 6ms refresh rate & I enjoy 1080). Along with this, I'm just going with the logitech k800 keyboard & M505? mouse, nothing fancy. 2 LG blue ray burners will be installed as well.
Any advice on liquid cooling kits? My buddy that builds computers helped me pick this out, I just fine tuned it a little swapping from the Maximus V Extreme Z77 MOBO to the Z79 MOBO so I can go to 64GB of RAM rather than being maxed out at 64GB. The OS will be windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.
The computer will be used for engineering purposes as well as management. Ansys, solidworks, navisworks, revit, autocad, tsi, etc. will be used. Overkill? I know, but I did this setup so I wouldn't have to worry about replacing anything for roughly 5 years, unless it breaks of course. Also going with a little HP Envy laser jet printer.
Thanks for any of your advice in advance.
Also!!! Should I be worried about overclocking my MOBO? I was alerted SSDs dont last long so should I get a smaller SSD & put my OS on it & just get a HDD for everything else?
