The BN box is a true Sandy and are usually a little better overclocker, the CF is a Toledo dual core cpu with one core disabled and a little better mem controller. I would go with the BN but there is nothing wrong with the CFs and if that is all that you can get there fine.

Not all CF are Toledos. That's like saying all rectangles are squares or all idiots are happy. Only certain E6 steppings are Toledos with a disabled/failed core.

But.. for the most part, BN / E4 are better overclockers.

Wasn't aware of that everything I ever read always refered the E6 as Toledos, maybe someone could post a stepping list of the Toledo versions versus regular Sandy for the E6/CF series ones as info on the E4s steppings are rather easy to find. If you go to newegg the BNs are the ones people grab up the most so that should say something about there OC potential. Oh and for the most part idiots are happy, its the smart ones who tend to overthink stuff and get depressed. And considering you agreed with my blanket statement about the E4 versus E6 it was kinda of a tactless way of pointing out my lack of knowledge, when I never really stated every single E6 is a Toledo and there are always exceptions to the rules. Obviously no one knows everything but having worked with Sandys awhile I read a ton of posts and never once heard about this, but I wouldn't be insulting in pointing out someone elses lack of knowledge. I am always open to new info just be cool about your replies to others.

Sorry if I kinda jacked the thread but I get irritated from some of the callous replies people put out, We all were knew at onetime..

Well, I got an ADA3700BNBOX and mine turned out to be an E4 revision of the KACAE 0602GPMW. I can get to 3.1 Ghz easily on air, limited by my RAM. I believe the CFBOX'es are the E6 revision and some are Toledo's.

Theres no need to feel insulted. I think you have overreacted a bit. It's a fact that not all E6 are Toledos, and I was illustrating that point by saying "not all rectangles are squares". The "not all idiots are happy" thing was just a little joke... which is true, by the way. I know a guy with learning disabilities and a low IQ who happens to be very troubled and depressed. It's just the cards he was dealt.

I didn't mean that post as some kind of put-down and I didn't want you to take it personally, so please don't.

No sweat, I just remebered all the flaming some people get when there new to stuff. If no offense was meant then i apologize for my reaction but I am always open to knew info.

JonhRogers congrats on the KACAE got one myself excellent OCer but its stuck in a basic matx board as a cheap build with only a clockgen. Most of what I read about the KACAE is that they were the later made E4s before the E6s, but this info might be wrong; either way 3.1 is awsome.
