Need some help? keyboard and trackpad won't work simultaneously.

Thread Starter
I just bought an Acer Aspire V5-171, and I'm trying to play games on it but whenever I press a key there's a delay of a few seconds until i can use the trackpad which makes it impossible!
Any idea how to stop this? I've looked it up and apparently its an intended feature that can be turned off but everything i have found does not work.

Thanks.

It might be a setting that disables the touchpad when typing.

If you can't change it in touchpad settings, then you're stuck with it.

Control panel > Mouse > tapping tab > Uncheck "tap off when typing"

Or adjust the slider next to the check box to a delay that's more suitable. And/Or use a external mouse. I find moving the slider down and using an external mouse works fairly well for myself on my v3(slightly different model) .

Thanks for trying guys, kenolak I tried the Mouse tapping thing and the 'tap off when typing' bit isn't actually there, neither is a slider.
Seems like i'm stuck with it... I have a mouse but when I want to play games I don't always have the space to put a mouse down.
