lol, Also don't their DLC's work on the consoles too? They would see the most benefit from them since they don't get mods (unless the workshop works on consoles though I doubt it)

It was on sale on steam last week, I believe it was 50% off, not sure though. I picked up Dawnguard for 30% off.

You'd think that, the Dawnguard DLC has been delayed indefinitely because the PS3 apparently can't handle it. Perhaps Hearthfire will be released for the PS3 because it's a lot smaller.

The PS3 is a powerful system, and we're working hard to deliver the content you guys want. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content.

I like how they say it's a "powerful system".

What total garbage. How about devs stop catering to ridiculously outdated tech, forcing their games back to the stone age and making PC gamers suffer?

Anyway, I went ahead and bought. I'm sure elements of this DLC will be used for mods in the future.

More resources for everyone, and furthermore for modders. It's a win/win.

It is a powerful system comparatively to other consoles.
One thing I never understood about some people on OCN is they talk about console hardware like its a PC. It doesn't work the same way, consoles can go longer with outdated hardware. Although I admit its time to see some new consoles.....
The very fact that console games still look good proves it. It has gotten to the point where I could care less about graphics and focus on the gameplay and story.

Hmm, it seems Bethesda still has issues coding for the PS3. Way back when the PS3 was first released, wasn't it said that it is the hardest console to code for?

Could it be that they finally ran out of vram on the PS3? As I recall it has 256MB vram while the 360 has 512MB. As it stands, Skyrim is pretty vram-hungry (it outgrew my reference GTX580's 1.5GB when I added some mods, had to bring it down a notch to where it uses around 1.3-1.4 in most cases.

Not to give too much away, the Forgotten Vale areas in Dawnguard for example would be quite taxing I think.

I think Beth have every right to copy idea's from mods made using the tools and software they provide in the first place. Modders should be flattered that they're implementing their idea's officially into the game. The very modding community wouldn't exist without Bethesda's willingness to support it.
Besides, Valve "steal" mod idea's regularly - L4D is basically a clone of Killing Floor, for example. you don't hear any outcry about that though(Not that i'm complaining, just making a point).
I personally don't want another AAA game Developer on the scene making unmodifiable games or otherwise discouraging it.

Oh well thats totally different then, I dont keep up on game dev stuff or even games as my county is full of console kitties!

Talk about getting informed...
On topic, why would I want to play the Sims in Skyrim?

Yes cause I have time to stalk all the dev forums and videos posts on the net.

But I did forget that Skyrim is on PS3/X360 lol if it works on there then cool beans but at $5 just for being able to build a house is pretty dumb, unless its exactly like the mod then sounds like a deal to me !
