Um, no? It's been one of the most popular games on the PC.

NVIDIA PhysX Game..... do you still want to keep bashing a game for no apparent reason?

@Fossil: Same thing I was thinking in my head. I don't like it when a company milks money off a title. It makes them believe quantity over quality. Although I do wish that they gave PC players free DLC as how DLC was traditionally delivered on the PC.

I am not bashing it. I am voicing my opinion on a game that I didn't think would be appealing based on how I felt about what I saw. I simply asked a question. I wasn't trying to incite a riot. I apologize if my opinion has offended you. I was truly attempting to gauge its popularity. Thank you for the numbers.

You bashed it by saying that Borderlands 2 is"popular with the console crowd. I always forget people still use those."
I don't mind your opinion about the game and that it doesn't appeal to you, but many people including myself enjoyed the game very much including Team Fortress 2 (which is cartoonish).

A game can be 8-bit and I wouldn't care. Gameplay over graphics for me. A game can have the prettiest graphics like Crysis but if its gameplay is terrible, then the game isn't very fun. It's nice to look at it, but we play games to PLAY them not to just sit there and observe the graphics.

Borderlands 2 just came out; I think it's reasonable for them to be focusing on BL2 so DLCs and BL2-focused material are of better quality and content. They didn't say there won't be a sequel at all; developement just isn't focusing on it.

And this is why Call of Duty is so successful. I personally think BL2 is more of the same with a worse interface. Granted I still like BL and love playing it with friends. But I am getting bored of it...

Can't fault you for that, but, given the mechanics and tone of the game itself, I find the cartoonish art style to be more immersive than your typical "war-torn cityscape with immaculate foliage" game world.

Besides, if they'd done it any other way, this would have been really weird:

That's the appeal in some way. It makes it feel very fun and not serious.

They also use a lot of humor throughout the game, so it does feel very easy and untiring to play for hours on end. I think it's a great combination and it's working well. Borderlands 2 feels much more polished than the first one to me.

I hope the DLC is out soon, because I'm nearly level 50 already!

Oh GOD I hated that gun. I was playing it co-op and three of us firing it was insane. There's a sniper rifle that you get about the same level that shouts stuff at you like "IF YOU WERE A BETTER SHOT YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO RELOAD" and it's insanely loud, and one of my friends used it for about 10 bloody levels mad.gif.

I was disappointed in BL2, didn't have the replay-ability like the first and that is coming from someone who bought all the dlc's and played them through on both console and pc . Just got bored after first play through sadly wasn't worth the money IMO

I don't even want to see it on this generation of hardware. That goes for many, many other sequels as well.
