When would i need an update?

Thread Starter
I am getting a new computer that has a FX-4100 3.6 ghz quad-core processor, a Radeon 7750 1gb, 8gb of ram, when do you think that i would need an upgrade or possibly a new computer, i am not looking in to playing games at high graphics once it gets to that point. But i am just wondering so i can know when i need to start to save up.

When the computer no longer can do what you want it too. Always keep up with the tech and keep saving until you're ready to take the plunge.

If it does what you need it to do then there's no reason to fix something that's not broken.

Some could argue that if you had that setup right now you may want to upgrade. But if you aren't going to game, as long as you have a decent quad core and a ssd, you aren't going to need to upgrade because the price won't be justifiable for the amount of difference it makes.

In some ways, I went overboard on my system and it isn't fully utilized. But when you optimize everything you are doing with the hardware you have, you can get a lot more out of it.

Get a good cpu cooler and case fans and you'll be able to overclock things to get a little extra out of everything, but if you are content with what you have that's all that matters. Love what you have.
