yeah, dont plug into the #1 fan position, gotta be a pwm fan, make sure the start voltage
is less than 5-volts, ive tried all of them in my 15 different installs and they all pretty much
do the same thing, wont start or run @ 100%...
and on my current two systems i use daily
so you can do like others:
undervolt them from the PSU
buy an external fan controller
run them 12volt and like 'em..

The other option is too run PWM off the motherboard CPU header and control the fans from there.
On my Asrock board i can set temp and ramp.
