Anyone who says "THIS IS THE WAY YOU MUST DO IT" beyond basic safety, should be taken with a grain of salt, IMHO. Do what's comfortable for you and gets rounds down range and on target.
12 gauge doesn't have any kick???
Pure, unadulturated BS!!!
I may not be the most technically proficient guy on OCN, but when a topic like this comes up, I feel compelled to speak. Certified in firearms and trained armorer; plus 11 years law enforcement. 6 US Army as an Infantryman. 12 gauge does kick. Especially if you're not holding it correctly. Anyone who says otherwise simply has never fired one or is firing bird shot.
I highly recommend simmunitions. Expensive, but FUN! Oh.....and they hurt. I don't care how badass you think you are.

I think its like beating a dead horse saying 12gauge does or doesn't have kick. To many factors come into play here. What shell size 2 3/4, 3, 3 1/2? What load? What kind of shotgun? Heavy or light shotgun? see where I'm going with this?

Not picking on you tho.

Pure bs? Pure bs is talking about shotguns in definite terms without mentioning different round. Target rounds, THE most common 12ga round is akin to a stiff .22... 3" copper lines double ought turkey shot is akin to a stiff .308. Lets talk objectively. I shoot alot. I have zero military or police experiece, but a bit of urban. Try to use both eyes if you can, it will only help.

I did mention different rounds. Something like birdshot. Turkey shot is a bird shot.

I shoot both eyes open as well, with open isocoles and I agree 100%, but that comes with time and training.

However, I should clarify; that's fair to say. I'm talking like Federal Premium Tactical 2 3/4 9-00 or Federal Premium Tactical slug or any type of combat round in general. So I'll admit fault there for not clarifying my statement. biggrin.gif

I was doing some target practice with my double-barrel 12-guage a few weeks ago. My shoulder was all kinds of funny colors for a week and a half afterwards. Maybe this controller will bring that experience to the video game world! Just imagine having to decide what weapons to fire based on how sore you are. "Shoulder's too sore for the sniper rifle, better stick to the .223 this week."

Plant the butt of the stock between outside of your collarbone and shoulder, spread your feet a little, lean forward, and stick your ass out like J-Lo. thumb.gif

Dude, I played for years. I had a angel g7 if that says anything. (in fact one of my sale videos is listed 6th on youtube when searching "angel g7")

Yea those are a little extreme, but your simply stupid if you think paintballs can't hurt and can't bruise you, even with saftey precautions. For example when bunkering someone, which is a major part of speedball. This was allowed were I played as it was at any "big boy" speedball locations. It was restricted with younger people. I really can't think high speedball paintball without bunkering. It's really a make or break factor of the game for myself. This **** hurts and is almost guaranteed to leave bruises. I played at PBC most of the time. This place was owned and operated by a individual from Baltimore Trauma, therefore that was usually where the team practiced. You couldn't get much more official than PBC, which now has at least 2 locations and is one of the biggest names in paintball in the southeast and nationally known.

Simply put, I am the guy that dedicated a large majority of my time and money in high school to play paintball.

I honestly didn't have a problem with it but I'm hear to tell you that it's not for the feint of heart (in those certain conditions). Hell, that was one of the biggest aspects of the game and what made it so intense.

But whatever, guy I was replying to was trolling, so +1 troll for my time lol.

All in all, I enjoy airsoft much more these days. Working with real world tactics, scenarios, active duty military, and actually acting like your life is worth something is just a whole other level. So talk crap about how it does or doesn't hurt, whatever tongue.gif I hate to use this analogy but paintball is to COD what airsoft is to bf3(or better yet, planetside2).
