Need help / suggestions on my GTX 560ti's

Thread Starter
I have 2- MSI Twin Frozr II GTX 560ti's running in SLI. Last week, I noticed that Crysis 2 is now so slow (framerate) it is unplayable. I've been playing World of Tanks, but the FPS hovers around 15 - 20 fps. Way too low for these two cards in SLI.

I first noticed it when I went and played Civ V for the first time in months. Tried to play Cry2 and it was unplayable...

What I have tried so far:

Disabling SLI - made it much worse.
Tried 4 different driver versions, all the way back to 266.44 - no noticeable diff.
Removed both cards, cleaned and switched positions on the mobo - marginally better.

Not sure what to do next.....could both cards be bad??? They were purchased summer 2011.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated smile.gif

Remove one of the cards and check the results. Then remove it & insert the other one and test.
We'll take it from there thumb.gif

The games may be corrupted (slightly) I had to reformat my sig rig a few weeks back because all my apps started running incredibly slow and using stupid amounts of RAM and CPU i.e. Photoshop using 11GB of ram and 30% CPU to crop a single PNG. So that may be the problem. Usually when cards die they start having artifacts, flashing screens, BSODs, etc... not just running slow.

Ok, I will get a baseline test with both cards, then remove one and test, then switch them and re-test.

This may take a few days, because of my work schedule, but I will post results as I get them.

Thanks again!

PS: I haven't had any artifacts, BSOD's, flashing screens or anything of the sort; this is why it puzzles me so much....

I just all of a sudden decided to run real slow (FPS)......
