i dont get the point of coming into this thread and pointing out that "nexus devices dont have microsd expansion slots" ... its been like this forever.
you dont like the nexus and googles decision for not having microsd? alright then. go get yourself a s3, note ii or find another phone.

8gb is a step back from gal nexus
with nand prices these days they should start from 32gb to at least 64 and preferably 128..

It's a rumor. We know that there is a 8GB version out there, if you read other posts before replying then 8GB could of been only on prototypes.

There is no need to emphasize that 8GB is too little as it's been mentioned multiple times or complaints about no microSD expansions because Nexus devices don't come with microSD expansion slots.

I'm slightly annoyed that it doesn't have the headphone jack on the bottom, like the nexus s/galaxy nexus.

I actually prefer having it up on top. It makes the device a lot easier to use while the headphone jack is plugged in.
Although the same could be said if you were to put it in your pocket too because the headphone jack should be on the very bottom.

Updated the OP post with some new developing rumors,
There has been speculation of a 16GB unit, but all prototypes that have been seen are 8GB units only.

Hmmmm

Bump. updated OP with leaked quick start guide. 8GB & 16GB, sadly no 32GB variant

It seems the LG Nexus 4 will be coming with 8GB of storage is a joke and complete nonsense. I don't know what Google was thinking but 8GB shouldn't even be on dumbphones, let alone phones that are coming out with quad core cpus and 2GB of ram.

I guess this is their way of trying to keep the price down and make it affordable. But I definitely have to agree with you. It should at least be 16GB to the very minimum and a 32GB option.

Unless they pull the switcharoo where they discontinue the 8GB and replace it with a 16GB/32GB (like Nexus 7). Probably will be sticking with my Galaxy Nexus as the two share a similar design and the phone is still highly responsive.
