A little info about is, is that I have never overclocked nor do I know much information....
I have a 650psu...
What are the max things i can over clock?
Whats the coreclock i can get to ( the graphics card has dual fans on it)
Im useing msi after burner and i dont know what i should set the core clock to or even start at
I need to know a starting point for the coreclock i can get to and memory clock
and what does core voltage do...? do i have to adjust it? Please lol im an idiot..give me paragrahs to explain to me
walk me through biggrin.gif anyone?

ALSO THE MEMORY CLOCK AND CORE CLOCK DO I ADJUST THE MEMORY THE SAME AMOUNT I DO THE TO MEMORY CLOCK?

welcome to the forums smile.gif for overclocking, you shall download AMD overdrive, gpuz (to monitor temps and stuff) and the catalyst control center. the max. speeds will vary, the 6850 is great at overclocking. if you are using afterburner, you can just increase the core temp by 15mhz each time and run a furmark test for like 10 minutes. when you reach your max. stable clocks, run furmark for an hour to see if its actually stable or not. core voltage is basically how much voltage is needed for the GPU to run, when you overclock it you can increase that value, even though you shouldnt since i think this is your first time overclocking.

Thank you but that doesn't answer my questions all the way...
Whats the core clock and memory clock ? that i can get it to?
can you explain to me what the core clock and memory clock is?
do i need to increase voltage?

the core clock is the speeds which your GPU runs at, and the memory clock is the speed which your memory's speed. i can't exactly say a number for them, but check on the internet to see approx. numbers. you probably wont need to increase the voltage anyway.
