Hello I built a new computer with a problem it won't start. Everything is connected the psu, I bought everything brand new cept the g card, it came without a static bag...
My mother board does not have a vga port so in order to display an image i hook it up to the graphics card port... When i turn on the computer every thing is running the fans....the lights on the buttons and i hear a beep......but no image displays it just says no signal.....is the graphics card broken??? Would it have to invovle my harddrive i used from a previous computer beacuse im useing the same harddrive from my old computer....but would that matter all i want is to recieve a notification that its recieving a signal or the bios menue?... Do you think i need a new card or can you give me a list of the problems

Make sure GPU is properly seated and its power cord properly attached. Also fill out your rig.

Can also be a defective VGA cable.

How many beeps do you hear?

Its probably a problem with gpu not getting power or not seated properly or bad connector. Fill out your rig.

If you have a integrated GPU on your CPU, simply remove your graphics card and run it on that to see if you have a defective graphics card or not.

if you connected your monitor to a vga port in video card, make sure your monitor is set to accept analog signal. find input options in your monitor and change it to analog signal. i hope this helps.
