upcoming build- first watercooling

Thread Starter
Hey OCN, my last 2 build were amd and loved it but since i'm putting a little more money in the next one i thought i would go intel with watercooling for some extreme oc (cpu+gpu)

budget : 1600$ CAN

first problem is i'm over my budget, second is i don't know if my wc setup is good:

PC:
CORSAIR CX750
Intel i5-3570K
AZZA Genesis 9000
HIS Radeon HD 7950
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1333 cl7
MSI Z77 MPOWER LGA 1155
Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 120Gb
asus DVD

shipped from newegg.ca for 1290$

WC:
Danger Den DD-CPX Pro 12V 3 Pin Powered Pump - 237 GPH (DD-CPX Pro)
PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive Liquid Cooling Fluid (32 oz.) - UV Brite Green
Koolance 3/8" x 1/2" (10mm x 13mm) G 1/4 Threaded Compression Nozzle x10
Magicool Extreme Dual 120mm Radiator - Slim Profile (LC-RADI240)
Magicool Extreme Triple 120mm Radiator (LC-RADI360S)
XSPC 5.25" Bay Reservoir - Clear / Silver / Black
Phobya 3 x 120mm Radiator Stand - Black Powder Coat - 15mm Spacing
PrimoChill PrimoFlex PRO LRT Tubing 3/8"ID 1/2" OD with 1/16" Wall - UV Green x8
EK Supremacy Universal CPU Liquid Cooling Block - Nickel (EK-Supremacy - Nickel)
Ek Mounting Plate Supreme HF Intel - Nickel (LGA 775 / 1156 / 1366)
EK Radeon VGA I/O Bracket - HD7950 / HD7970 (EK-VGA I/O bracket HD7970)
EK Radeon HD 7950 VGA Liquid Cooling Block - Acetal + Electroless Nickel Plated (EK-FC7950 - Acetal+EN (Nickel))

shipped from frozencpu for 580$

i was planning on installing the 240mm rad inside the case and the 360 outside(thats why the radiator stand) but i think the case i chose can fit both inside. i was thinking : res->pump->cpu->360rad->gpu->240rad->res

i really don't want to clean my loop every month

so what do you think?

I don't know Canadian prices, and I type this from my phone so I can't switch back and forth between tabs, but if I were to do a mid-high-end IVB build with water cooling, I would do:

(US Prices)
- 3770K $299 or 3570K $239
- Asus Sabertooth Z77 $230 OR Asus Maximus V Formula $270 or Gigabyte Z77-UD5H $200(?) or ASRock Z77 Extreme6 $199(?)
- 8GB (4GBx2) G.Skill Ripjaws Z DDR3 2133 9-11-10-28 $59 or 2400 11-11-11-30 $69
- Samsung 830 128-256GB SSD $90-175 (on sale)
- Cheapest 500GB-1TB HDD (WD Caviar Blue) $60
- EVGA GTX670FTW 2GB $395
- 750-850W PSU $90-130
- NZXT Switch 810 $119
- Reuse ODD

- XSPC RAYSTORM EX420 Kit $270
- 4x Bitspower 45deg rotary angled adapters $9x4 + 2x BP 90deg single/dual rotary adapters $9-$14x2 + 4x XSPC Compression Fittings $3.99x4
- Heatkiller GTX680 Hole Edition Block and Backplate $150
- 10ft Tubing $6-20
- (option) XSPC EX240 $45 or Alphacool NeXXos UT60 240 $70
- 6x Bgears Blasters 140mm 1800rpm fans $60
- 2-4x Koolance 120x25mm/120x38mm 2600rpm Fans $32
- Bitfenix Hydra Pro 5ch 30W/ch Fan Controller $34.99

Now,that's just an overview, but I really think that the Switch 810 is the absolute best bang for your buck. Same for the XSPC RAYSTORM kit as it includes everything for a CPU loop, you simply need to add a GPU block and likely a second rad. It includes decent fans, so you could always get 3 more of the included type instead of the Bgears, but the latter are the absolute best rad fans in the 140mm size. The 120mm Koolance fans are super powerful, and both sizes are only $8/each (25mm thick = 5.4mmHg + 107.4cfm, while 38mm thick = 6.4mmHg + 118cfm) making them the best bang for your buck.
The kit includes a D5 pump, a great and quiet pump, although I really really would recommend the MCP35X over the D5 if you don't get the kit.
