Constant driver crashes

Thread Starter
I just finished my new build with my 7950 and every few minutes my computer will lock up and I will get a display driver failed message. I have tried the 12.8 and 12.9 Drivers as well as both Windows 7 and Windows 8. Anyone have any advice because I'm about ready to ship this card back and go back to the U CAN N0 HAZ V01tag3 lololness of Nvidia.

Is the card overclocked at all? If so try reverting back to stock and seeing if the problem persists. If you're at stock speeds perhaps try an older driver such as 12.6 since 12.8 is the current driver and 12.9 is in beta

Card is at stock, though I have tried bumping to voltage to no avail. I will give 12.6 a try.

Well, it happened again. Lasted a lot longer though then on 12.8/12.9

Edit: I'm also getting flickering on my screen now.

Hmm, have you tried re-seating your card, or putting it in another PCI-e lane? Give that a try if you don't mind

Tried to no avail. I'm going to put a replacement on order from Amazon and just use my APU's gpu.

Oh, totally forgot to update my sig rig, I did a completely new build with a fresh install of Windows.

Currently running a A10 5800k on a Biostar HiFi A85W with the APU's gpu disabled and the 7950 as my video output.
