Based on others accounts of shipping from this seller, unless I have any issues with customs, I should have it by the 15-17 of October. Might take me a day or two after receiving to determine OC'ability. It's my first display OC, hoping it goes smoothly. Of course it may not OC at all so there is that.
Cheers

Holy crap - please please post whether or not this OC's to 125hz - if it does i am picking it up on the spot. +REP to you

I am able to go overclock all the way up to 120hz and get an image though it doesn't look like it's any smoother than the default 60hz. I also get artifacting at 90hz and above. I am currently using the dvi-d cable from my older 120hz monitor and haven't tried the supplied cable yet or hdmi 1.4a.

Also have a stuck green pixel on the left hand of the screen which is wish I could say is hard to notice but it sticks out pretty bad on dark scenes. Light bleeding on off-center bottom left as well. Not ideal as of yet. Will do some further testing.

** It appears HyperMatrix is correct. His explanation would describe what I've noticed. Oh well.

Ah well - to good to be true. I love my CrossOver LED-P - was really hoping they'd make a 120hz+ version .

I've sent an eBay message asking for a refund.

The lack of 120hz did not affect my choice to return. The stuck green pixel, excessive light bleed, poor black levels, ghosting, and poor scaling/image quality over hdmi did. In fact if the monitor did OC to 120hz I still don't think I'd stick with it.. I already have a 120hz TN that in all honesty has much better IQ imo. Was expecting more from IPS. Oh well. Maybe I got a dud? Hard to say without anything comparable to check it against.

Really wish I could have looked at this first but as it stands I don't see myself using it over the display it was meant to replace. It's pretty much a downgrade in every sense except size.

He should accept the return, but it's highly probable he'll make me pay return shipping which will sting. Still better than being out the whole $450 with a monitor I won't use.

As with everything, your results may vary.

Cheers

Try this to fix that stuck pixel http://www.flexcode.org/lcd2.html - you can also try "massaging" the area. I'm sure you can google and there are a few home brew methods you can try.

As for the Backlight bleed - make sure youre not confusing it with "IPS Glow" - that looks like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eA2IjlotJU

to tell the difference, move your head side to side, youll see the IPS glow move as you move. Or take a pic of your screen about 3ft+ away (preferably 5-10 ft) - make sure youre level, in a completely dark room using the "Black" option in that LCD Repair tool link i pasted above.

To fix IPS glow - view the display a bit further back, im about 1.5 feet away, in darker games like Left 4 Dead 2 - i set the brightness lower and move the monitor further back still.

Thanks jerrolds, +REP

Pretty sure it's light bleed. I did look from multiple angles and the bright spot did not move.

The pixel issue was something I was aware of that I could possibly resolve. I did some slight massaging and the color flash video's for about 10 minutes or so to no avail. I could put some more time in it if that were my only issue though with everything else I'm just not satisfied with the overall quality of the monitor. The stand though is fantastic. Really like that part of it.

It's already back in the box waiting for instruction from seller. Think I learned a lesson about the whole "grass is greener" saying.

Cheers

Bizarre, this seller is claiming the overclock is possible with this monitor. Also, it's nice that he's actually translated the promotional materials.

I know theres a web based test somewhere that comparies a moving object at 30hz/60hz/120hz

its like a baseball moving side to side and you can set different speeds for things like the background, add extra objects ...

you can use that to really tell the difference...but i cant seem to find the link for you tongue.gif

I can't speak for the overclocking ability yet (still waiting on my graphics card) but this monitor is amazing. I received mine with no pixel issues or light bleed. I ordered mine from BCC and having not a bad thing to say.
