[Build Log] Viggen Blue

I think it is the time I will start my build log, I am currently still running all my water cooling in my old R3 case, which is getting to small... It is a great case, but whoever designed it did not think about making it enough roomy for the water cooling. Saying that is till managed to squeeze 3x120 radiators and put one 280 radiator on top Another thing which drives me mad in that case is a complete lack of cable management, there is not too much room for them on the back...

So far it is all looking like that:


On Monday 08/10/2012 a new case is arriving:

What will be changed is the Scythe Slip Stream Slim 1200RPM for 2xGentle Typhoons 1150RPM:


10/10/2012 is the day I will start moving all the equipment to the new case, so wish me luck

Since I am planning to run push/pull config on the top I may drill some extra holes to get the cables for the fans through and not to route them around.
I will also drill 2 holes on the back wall of the case behind the Z68 chipset on my mobo to have an easy access to the screws holding the water block on the chip
The master plan is to create nice clean build...
EDIT 1: I will also inspect my EK Supremacy WB for any galvanic corrosion and if it has occurred I put the photos out.
EDIT 2: Any advices are more than welcome. I want to stick 280 on top and a 120 next to it, 120 on the back and 120 on the bottom. I am still thinking about where to put the pump and the res...

I could stick 5400RPM's in, but that completely deflects the object of having WC in place... Main reason I have WC is the low noise@high performance, so it is a bit pointless to install fan controllers and stick high speed fans when I do not want to run them @high speed anyway. At the moment the system is almost inaudible!

And that is how I installed the pump, the reservoir will go on top...




Then I bumped into a problem the holes in the case did not want to align with XSPC EX280, so I needed to drill some new ones

Now all is up and running, but did not have time to take any more photos, will do that tomorrow.
Also I found the original 140mm NZXT fans a bit too noisy they are going to be replaced soon!

Mayhems rules! It does not stain at all, it is one of the best coolants I have ever used, a bit pricey though!
I know that the case is a bit too glossy and every time I touch it I leave stain marks , but it was on the offer from Scan, when the others weren't

That is how it comes out from the bottle it seems to be some kind of very well mixed slurry as it does not sediment over the time, eve if you leave the loop off for a few weeks when on holiday etc.
