I agree, this is one thing I would consider to be the weak point on their phones.

And as a few others have said, The hardware is pretty good for the phones, it is the software that there is an issue with.
I too have an Atrix and actually enjoy it. It isn't overly big like many of today's phones and the hardware inside is still solid for some longevity left. If they wouldn't have abandoned the ICS update for it, I would still love it.
With them now saying they won't update this phone and some others that are obviously in need of it, I will now be looking to other producers.

I guess what gets me, is they said the real reason for not updating is they are behind on updates, and if they don't draw the line here and now on older devices for updates, then they will never catch up on maintaining the software for their devices. You know, to that I respond "HIRE MORE ENGINEERS!" lol

I am, however, not in the know of all that is going on, so I am obviously not the person that has any real information for the right decision to be made, I am simply an unhappy customer...
