Dafuq? I was so confused by this I literally just made an account to reply to you.

Errors:

1) Should be sometime mid next year Wrong. The new APU's just launched with the Piledriver architecture so CPU's should be right around the corner. Technically you could say the new architecture already launched.

2) 10-15% upgrade over their current offerings Wrong again. The new architecture is suppose to have any where from a 25% to 35% increase in performance.

3) Their top offering is still outperformed by an i3 3220 Wrong yet again! An i3 3220 couldn't even beat my 4170 at gaming let alone a 6200 or 8150.

Chill on the toking br4h it's killing your brain cells.

Troll or not... I believe APU is the way to go. I am looking forward to piledriver. But even for APUs, there is a bug with window 7 that does not utilize the full potential of many cores. Windows 8 is rumored to fix this issue so that means cores matters more.

(****... I still have to say this for I am working at Microsoft and windows 8 doesn't release until Oct. 26.)

APU is the only advantage that AMD has against other companies, nvidia, Intel, or Qualcomm. Competing directly on per core performance against intel is suicidal. Even when all else are equal, intel's advanced manufacturing is just gonna beat the hell out of everyone else. Smaller and more efficient per transistor means faster clocking, less power consumption...

Well nvidia has no extensive experience designing CPUs and Intel and Qualcomm doesn't have extensive experience with graphics...
