I suppose to really test my audio I should just play on 1080p.

Does anyone know if certain display types increase/decrease input lag?

IE; will HDMI create more, or less, display lag than say Component?

Treyach tends to give a good amount of options including FOV (Which IW locks you) and ranked dedicated servers. None of the host with the most

Since cod4, the PC has been neglected by IW and treyarch ( although treyarch give more attention to pc than IW, it's still negligible). They say there are ranked dedis, however these servers are all controlled by a treyarch team - therefore no one outside of treyarch can own a dedicated server. This may not seem a problem however it is basically PVP again, because, with no control over the server you play on, you cannot get rid of annoying people or hackers, you cannot create different servers for different things, eg 24/7 *map*. You cant' own a server for your team to play on.

On top of this, treyarch has come out to say that there will be NO mod tools. Mods are HUGE for pc - without mods no pc game will last, look at all the top PC games, most of them have mods or are capable of mods. What activision are trying to do is limit the PC experience to a console one. So, don't get the PC version, get the xbox and play with your friends because although there are decent pc features such as FOV choice (this is limited), FPS freedom ( again limited to 90, i believe ) and custom gfx settings, the game itself won't be any better on the PC because of the lack of any PC specific support.

Another big reason I was considering is because I play 1440p... But as I mentioned before, CoD's graphics are pretty much the consoles. Maybe a slight bit better.

I think I am better off getting that console version.

I don't mind not having owned-servers on PC... But just the communities size, and ability to play with friends... I think CoD is the only game I prefer to play on console than PC. lol

I tried MW3 multi-player trial on my computer. And it was way different than console. It just felt off.

Same, I was getting decent towards the end when I was playing. I only played for 6hrs and the last 2 or so I was great. I felt off at the beginning. And I do find that cod is a VERY social game, and there is a real disconnect on the pc because everyone types, and mic talk is push to talk which is just stupid. Graphics at 1080p normal settings were nothing special if not worse than on the xbox, a friend of mine maxed it out and said it looked terrible as well. The community on xbox is there, granted the only people that end up talking are kids(not all of them bad) and older people around my age but the only time they talk is to scream at me and tell me I camp and cheat... But once again, I am amazing at call of duty(not trying to brag just the truth) so everyone is bound to hate me after the game. I dont think I have picked up a friend on mw3 is over a year, I found 2 people on there that lived together and they were cool. All that being said though, I do like cod on console just for how much more social it is than the pc.

I never played played CoD4 in it's "prime" days. For me, most players "MW1" is MW2. I LOVED that game so much. I hope BO:II brings that feeling back, some what.

With my group of friends I got like 22 days of play time in one summer break from school. It was a game I never got mad at or felt like I was bored. Like wake up at 8 play till 2 in the morning fun. Granted I wouldn't have done that if I was playing by myself. COD isnt fun playing alone.

I LOVED CoD4. Actually played it on my old laptop when it came out. I've personally enjoyed all of them, though a lot of the people I play with dropped off during MW3, so it got boring. Much more fun playing with friends. With all the changes they're making to BLOPS2, I'm really looking forward to it. One of the few titles I'll pick up on launch day.
