i wouldnt get the 8150, i would wait for piledriver and get the 8300 and overclock it.

i personally would get a good air cooler like the noctua nh d14, but either would work fine.

i would try to stay as far away from seagate hard drives as possible. get a western digital equivalent.

MSI motherboards are know to have faulty vrms, so again i would stay away from them. try something like the GA-970A-UD3. it isnt as fancy, but it is cheaper and can overclock just as good.

you wont need an 800W power supply unless you are going to do crossfire or sli. a good 650W would do the job. look at seasonic X series.

that ram is ok, but i would get the samsung "wonder" ram instead. it is cheaper and overclocks to 2133 and 2400mhz easily.

i wouldnt get that case, but what ever floats your boat.

also, i noticed there isnt a gpu in this rig. the fx series from amd dont have onboard graphics, and neither does the 900 series chipsets.

i'll post a much better build in a moment.

I agree with replacing the Seagate for a Western Digital. Seagate drives have a very bad reputation. I would also change the ram to 1800mhz or the Samsung ram if you're familiar with overclocking. I think the motherboard should have no problems. I haven't heard of any MSI 990FX series boards having any problems. Everything else looks good.

Edit: I would go with a moduar psu as wiring is much less a hassle. Something like an HX850 should do if you're set on a Corsair. What about the monitor? That is a very large budget for an AMD build.

Edit 2: And I forgot about Piledriver. The new FX series cpus should be launching in a couple weeks. They are supposed to be better than the current FX cpus and should have lower power consumption which means you will be able to use a lower wattage psu. I would wait until then to make a decision.

I love corsair , they're a good brand , that and the cables are sleeved so I'm not gonna complain less of a mess for me to sort as for seagate hdd I've had em since i was building pc's and never had a problem , the only hdd's i've ever had issues with is maxtor's and i"ve had 3 die on me

well, just replace the z77 extreme 4 for the gigabyte GA-970A-UD3:
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519
and get the 8320 from amd when that drops.

oh and by the way, rep is where you press the REP+ at the bottom right corner of the post

What would you be doing with the build?

I'd drop the GS800 for a Rosewill CAPSTONE 650W. Gold rated and more than enough for SLI/CFX and OC headroom.

Get the Samsung 830 128GB SSD. No reason not to have one in this budget.

Get Samsung wonder RAM. No questions asked

Switch the H70 for a Noctua. No leaking potential and it's a bit better

Well as I stated above I have an ssd coming in , i'll add everything together and redo the build and see what I can get , cause I'm gonna sell my current rig and go bigger

If you already have a 955, A switch to BD is a side-grade for gaming. There is nothing to gain from that move.

The only upgrade path available from your current position is an intel K series chip. To be honest, even that is not a large enough upgrade to be worthwhile IMO. If you don't want an intel chip for brand loyalty reasons then there is no place to "go" for an upgrade at this time. Wait for PD and see if it produces enough clock and IPC improvements to give you tangible gains over the ole Deneb.
