I'm not sure about your power supply as I have not heard of that particular model. You need to overclock the FX cpus to get the most out of them. For that, yes you will need an aftermarket cooler. The Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is highly recommended. That is an ok build. If possible, I would change the video card to a 7850, change the motherboard to an Asus Sabertooth, and change the ram for 8gb 1800mhz.

What's your budget?

I'd avoid the thunder and get something else. The stock cooler will work just fine if you don't plan on overclocking.

Change that GPU.

first of all thank you for the speedy reply guys

iam on a tight budget and my max budget for psu is 70 dollars apprx 3600 indian rupee
i know crossair and seasonic are very good brands for psu but here it is not available and the only ones are cooler master and other brands like zebronics and mercury etc

i opted for 6770 due to its low power consumption and i will get another 4 gb ram shortly.

iam actually confused with the tdp of 8120 whether it is 95w or 125 watts??is there a new model for 8120 with 95 w tdp?

ive used intel builds for around 6 years but read a lot of reviews about amd for its price performance, and now i am planning to go for an amd build,
and see how it goes?

please give some guiding on amd build??

thank you

Give me your total budget for the entire build.

I'm sure I can come up with something better since Indian resellers aren't the most honest with what parts are "best suited" for you. smile.gif

Cooler Master isn't the only PSU brand that's available. The thunder isn't the most efficient and neither do you need a 600w unit. Overkill.

No need to go in for the FX 8120 since a 6100 would suffice for what you have in mind. Don't let those resellers convince you otherwise. Trust me, I know. tongue.gif

The case is linked from a site based in my city because Flipkart didn't have it (they overcharge for cases anyway biggrin.gif). Look for the same model in your local shop.

Unless you plan on going in for another 4GB stick soon, make sure you get 2x2GB sticks of the memory I linked. You wouldn't want to be running single channel RAM now, would you? rolleyes.gif

The CM thunder isn't worth it because it doesn't deliver its rated power and isn't the most efficient. Also, you don't need a 600W unit anyway. A quality 450W unit with better efficiency makes more sense. teaching.gif

You get a (far) better case with cable management and a better cooling layout.

I changed to monitor to a Dell IN2030M. You get both D-SUB and DVI connectivity wheee.gif

Oh, you get a better GPU too yessir.gif

CPU - FX 6100 - Rs 7685 shipped

MOBO - ASrock 970 Extreme 3 - Rs 6464 shipped

GPU - Powercolor Radeon 7770 - Rs 9968 shipped

PSU - Corsair VS450 - Rs 2428 shipped

RAM - G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 4 GB - Rs 1707 shipped

MONITOR - Dell IN2030M Rs 6890 shipped

CASE - NZXT Source 210 Elite - Rs 2756

TOTAL - Rs 37857

Went a tad over.

Also get a price for these stuffs from your local seller. Sometimes they have a better rate.
