Savu's side buttons are above where you put your thumb. Still if you like the WMO's shape you might not like the savu's. Maybe a Kana?

WMO cable isn't soldered in. Basic plug type, though not every cable will work. (Likely have to swap pins depending on the donar).

When opening, you have to be very careful not to break the front hinges which use a snap in design rather than screws. In all honesty, your cable just might be loose.

I opened the mouse, moved the cable around and then when I tested it again the mouse wasn't doing any connection, unlike before opening where it sometimes working.

Also the mouse buttons feel weird after I mounted it again and the skates feel weird too. I think I definitely killed it. Time for a new mouse

If you're looking for WMO shape, the general choices are Zowie AM, Steelseries Sensei, Steelseries Kana and Roccat Savu.

I have a Kana and I'm very happy with it since the firmware updates since it was released, and since putting proper teflon feet on it. I've read that the newer ones ship with proper teflon feet so that isn't an issue anymore. It does have mild prediction. In my personal opinion the prediction is very slight. I do not notice the prediction in day to day usage or gaming, I have to look for it specifically. I do not have any tracking issues on my two QCK pads (one black one colored) or on my 9HD hardpad. If you buy a Kana, keep in mind that the white one is glossy if you like/dislike that.

I guess the best replacement would be a logitech g100. If your talking about 400dpi, this mouse is pretty stable at this dpi and has good perfect control and malfunction speeds. The size and weight are awesome, the shape is great for claw/ fingertip grip users.

I read you discarded the Abyssus, because older versions used to jitter. Just wanted to let you know mine doesn't and I use it on a QcK+ at work.

Mice most similar to the WMO:
Kana (the most out of any SS mouse), AM, Kova+.

Actually people think the Kana is similar but in reality it has a far lower front lip and general crappy lowness of shape all round making it total rubbish if you fingertip your WMO.

Savu has a fat ass (seriously). Haven't tried the AM or Kova yet but I have tried everything else you can think of and they are nothing like the WMO in reality. AM has huano switches but you won't know if you don't like them until you try it. And it's sensor is not rubbish, it's perfectly fine if you know how to keep your mouse on the pad. Kova has light prediction apparently.

No other mouse comes close, and those are your only choices. I've looked.
