That's the advertised power phase, not the true one. The true phase count is 4. Check the chart. Just because it has 8 phases doesn't mean the motherboard isn't using doublers (there's a video on it. I'll post it below).

Open the image in a new tab to view the full size. smile.gif And as far as scores go you usually want a 3 or higher (basically a 3 or 4) for all 4 ratings.

Why do you need better vrms if you aren't overclocking? Also if you're getting aftermarket cooling (even the 212+, I manage 4.6ghz with good temps on that) I'd spend the extra $25 for the K series. Overclocking on Z77 is easy as anything, little more then typing a number for the multiplier and increasing voltage.

I've always seemed to be bothered by quality, but you do have a good point.

If I do have $25-$30 to spare, I'd be happy to get a K model and try overclocking.

my suggest:

Processor: Intel i5 3570k

HSF: Cooler MAster 212 Hyper Evo (included CM thermal paste)

MoBo:
-Biostar TZZ7XE4 (have 13 phase vrm) or
-Asrock z77 extreme 4 (8+4)
i prefer biostar because im using it, bought it have no single error at all for the first time build.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 2x4 GB 12800 CL9, or G.skill ares/ripjawx/sniper

GC: GTX 660 Ti (prefer: msi, zotac, or asus)

SSD: OCZ vertex 4 128gb (use newer controller, rather than sandforce)

Power: any pure 80+bronze certificate, such seasonic, corsair, superflower, etc. (preferable ~650watt)

i dont include the price, just search for ur self, i believe is enough from ur budget

I can order the Fractal Design Arc Midi for $70 today or tomorrow before the Columbus Day sale is over unless somebody else can find a better deal.

Quick question, does the sale still go on for the rest of tomorrow or does it stop tonight?

I need to hurry up and find the products with a good discount or already at a low price so I can run up to my parents and have them order it (they have control of all of my money. sad-smiley-002.gif)

Quick! Help me find all of the discounts of the things I know I will get!

I found some combo deals that allows me to consider the 3570K because I can save $20-$30. It also lets me consider the GA-Z77X-UP5 TH which is a beautiful motherboard.

3570K w/ Motherboard

GA-Z77X-UP5 TH
GA-Z77X-UP4 TH
MSi Z77 MPower
GA-Z77X-UD3H
GA-Z77X-UD5H

No deals on the MSi Z77A-GD65.

The other choice is to look at all of the combo deals with the i5-3550 and use the $15 off Promo Code but that means no unlocked multiplier and overclocking. The i5-3570K combos cost the same as the i5-3550 and one of the motherboards separately though so why not?

I could also wait for discounts on the i5-3570K and then apply those promotional codes and discounts to the combo deals. smile.gif

The UD5H has me disappointed with no PS/2 and the UP4 costs less (and is just as good, if not better) in the combo so I guess I might be able to forget about that board.
